How the Spectrum began a revolution Well, I’m of an age to be able to say “My first computer was a ZX81” The spectrum was my second. I now have a CD that has lots of Speccy games & an emulator on. I can start to rescue Bilbo again!

Hey! I can say that as well! OK, it was a slightly souped up ZX81 with a real keyboard and a whopping, IIRC, 16k of extra RAM! But it was a short step then to a C64 then finally an Amiga 1500 before accepting that no longer would computing be ‘fun’ – just functional.
