Pedersondesigns – Pd – and Bud’s Blogging Experiment are both Wikis about blogs.
The former (at present) is quite small & has a page really designed for educators – to help them initially think about blogging for themselves, then how to get their students blogging.
He’s got an .xml file of useful Educational Blogs which can be imported to Bloglines.
There are links to external sites on wikis, blogging, social bookmarking etc.
The latter was set up as a result of getting a class blogging. There are blogging rules, grading guide lines etc – as well as links to videos to help student blog & use the wiki.
Due to privacy reasons, I’m not sure of the actual age of the students, but, looking at their posts, I’d assume Grade 10 +… maybe!
In his blog, Bud quotes a student‘s views of the difference between an online blog & an online journal:
An online journal is somewhere someone posts their thoughts when they hope that someone will see them. A blog is where someone posts their thoughts when they hope that someone will think about them.
