The Community Engine Blog: A Learning Blogosphere (1): Into the Deep
A good overview of a project setting out to get a group of non-technical students to use Blogs during a course.
Gibson, the lecturer, was also able to get a number of high profile bloggers to contribute to the project.
Though they were (at the start!) non-technical students, part of their learning was to include RSS etc., and several of the points that Gibson raises cover when students were able to work out some extra functionality (relating to tracking posts etc), themselves. So, as well as using it for expressive/ reflective skills, as many of us are, he was also using them very practically.
