Paste Special Unformatted Text At Your Fingertips

Having been doing a lot of cutting & pasting between documents recently, I was finding it a bit of a pain to use the Edit/Paste Special/Unformatted text to ensure that the formatting wasn’t copied.

It seems that MS don’t think that you need one – and so it’s a “Create a Macro time” – though it’s not quite that easy – you have to edit the macro after you have created it.

However, once created it is saving a bit of time.

1 drawback though, is that if you have any URL in the text, they are lost, so have to be re-entered. Not so difficult it it’s a full URL (http:// etc), but more of a problem it it’s a “friendly” link. Oh well, it’s generally much quicker if there are no links.
