Oxford have fined students for bad behaviour – based on images found on facebook. Newport, on the other hand, have created a MyNewport application for Facebook.
Elgg is also growing. I recently attended ElggJam – which was well worthwhile, and had a lot of good ideas for its use. I’d very much like to have Elgg available in the University – probably much as Brighton have, in that they have it running alongside Blackboard, to support where Blackboard doesn’t have the functionality.
Finally, WordPress. Right now, due to the difficulties that I’ve had getting WordPress back up and running, I’m a little jade. However, I do think that WordPress has a lot of useful features, for a standalone blog.
