Glass orb with reflection of the landscape in it

One of the aspects of Warwick blogs that I particularly liked was the ability to have a number of “templates” to allow users to structure their posts, such as the Book Review posts. Today, in our “research” meeting, we discussed whether or not a blog might be a suitable format for a student to review progress in their project, and allow the supervisor to comment on the progress. This wasn’t to be instead of the regular meetings, rather to support them, in much the same way as MSc students have Project Progress reports to submit. My initial reaction was that we’d need some form of structure, to aid students to complete them.

So, it was good to see a post in today’s OLDaily – about structured blogging! Even better to have a link to a WordPress plugin … which David Wiley has used to create book review posts.

I’ve downloaded it, so am now off to play!
